The problem

Her record says she owes ₦45,000. Yours says ₦50,000. Who is right—and who is mistaken?

When both sides keep separate notes, everything works fine—until you remember the numbers differently.

Vendors

  • You can't say who owes you, or how much, without checking records, or scrolling back through chats.
  • Bank transfer alerts showing money came in, but not what it was actually for.
  • Cash and POS payments leave no trail at all.
  • Agreed prices or payment terms being remembered differently over time.
  • Chasing payments is awkward—so overdue money often goes uncollected.

Customers

  • Paying in instalments with no updated balance.
  • You don't keep records, making it easy to forget what you bought or paid for.
  • Purchases scattered across different vendors, lost in memory, old chats and platforms.
  • No proof of purchase when an item breaks, needs returning, or has a warranty claim.
  • Disagreements over past payments with no record to point to.

The solution

One record, two copies

Every sale, invoice, and payment is logged on Proveam—keeping both of you on the exact same page.

For vendors

  • Clear balances. See every customer's balance anytime on your dashboard or in whatsapp—no scrolling through chats.
  • Automatic matching. When your customer taps Pay, the payment links directly to the right sale.
  • Pay small small. Log part-payments easily; every payment updates the remaining balance automatically.
  • Branded receipts. Send numbered, dated receipts carrying your business name and logo.
  • Gentle reminders. Send up to 3 polite reminders a month to anyone who owes.
  • Mistakes stay honest. Voiding a record updates both copies while preserving the original audit trail.
  • Flexible entry. Record sales by messaging Proveam on whatsapp or typing them in on your dashboard.

For customers

  • Clear balances. See your balance with every vendor in one place, linked to your phone number.
  • Seamless payments. Tap Pay on your receipt/invoice to clear your balance directly—no bank account confusion.
  • Pay small small. Get an updated receipt with your new balance after every single part-payment.
  • Proof of purchase. Keep official receipts for returns, warranty claims, or payment proof.
  • No surprise debts. Get clear, timely updates on outstanding balances right on WhatsApp.
  • Dispute protection. Tap "Not correct" on any receipt/invoice to alert the vendor and correct mistakes immediately.
  • Zero friction. Receipts/invoices arrive directly on WhatsApp—no app installation or sign-up needed.

"He said, she said. All na story. Prove am." That's where our name comes from: Proveam is the answer, for both sides.

Questions

Common questions

How does my customer get their copy?

Add their number the first time you record something for them, for example Sarah 08031234567 1 iPhone 12 450k paid 200k. You can also send it afterwards: type the number, or just share their contact from your phone. From then on their name is enough, and every record and payment sends them a receipt.

How do I write a record?

Name, what they bought, the total and what they paid: Sarah 1 iPhone 12 450k paid 200k. If they paid in full, the amount is enough: Zainab, Term 1 fees 150k. Text menu for examples.

What happens when a customer disputes a receipt?

You're told which receipt they think is wrong, so you can sort it out with them. If it needs fixing, the correction goes out as a new receipt. The original is never changed.

Won't customers find this too formal?

A receipt is normal for any purchase. And because it shows what's still owed, you don't have to bring up the balance yourself.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, 7 days from your first record, with no card needed. After that it's ₦1,000 a month up to 50 active customers, ₦3,000 up to 300, ₦7,500 over 300. Or let your customers pay through Proveam: no monthly fee, just a small fee on each payment (see the Terms). Text subscribe to pay.

Why take payments through Proveam?

Because then the payment and the record are one thing. With a normal transfer, you get an alert and still have to work out which sale it was for, then write it down. When your customer taps Pay on their invoice or reminder, the payment goes on that sale, you both get a receipt with what's left, and it shows as Verified, because the money really moved. You pay no monthly fee, just a small fee on each payment (see the Terms).

What happens if I stop paying?

Your records stay, and your customers can still see them. You can keep recording and checking balances. Receipts and monthly totals pause until you pay again.

Can I see past records?

Yes. Every receipt can be saved or printed the moment it arrives. Text dashboard for a private link to your whole record: what you've received and what you've recorded.

Can I record without typing a message?

Yes. Text dashboard and tap New record: fill in the customer, the items, quantities and prices, and what they paid. Past items are one tap away, and the customer gets the same receipt.

How do I put my logo on receipts?

Send your logo to Proveam on WhatsApp with the caption logo, or upload it on your dashboard's Profile page.

Can customers join themselves?

Yes. Text link and share the link it sends you, in your status, bio or chats. When a customer taps it and presses send, they're signed up for your receipts.

Can customers stop receipts?

Yes. Replying STOP stops all receipts to their number, and START turns them back on. Their record is still kept.

How do I know a receipt is genuine?

Scan the code on it, or pick the receipt at proveam.com/verify. You'll see who issued it, when, for how much, and whether it was later voided. A receipt that was changed won't match.

Changed your number?

From the new number, send recover and your Proveam ID (it's on your Profile) to Proveam on WhatsApp. Your business, records and payments account move with you. No recovery PIN or backup set? Email support@proveam.com.
